Music

When my literary agent told me I had a “poetic, almost lyrical rhythm” to my writing, I didn’t quite know what she meant. But when I met my Uncle Don, he told me, “Now that you know you’re a Holmes, it’s time to pay attention to music.” Yes, I come from a big musical family and while music was always my first love, I’d set it aside to please others. It’s time to change all of that.

This page is a promise to myself to keep working on music – singing, playing, writing. My songwriting class is teaching me so much and my lyrics are a work-in-progress as I take an idea and transform them into a song.
