We got very little sleep again, thanks to the cats. They’ve been so cranky since the road trip to Nashville, as if we’d just moved them across the country *again* – they are not happy about it. I tried to explain to them that we were just trying to protect them from a big storm monster. 🙂
By now I’m feeling super cooped up. So, in spite of being exhausted, we decided to go ahead and check on the house progress after work. And the community was having their first annual wine walk so off we went.
Rich noticed right away that we’ve got windows – tinted, too!
We did a walk through and it’s really starting to feel like a real house!
Afterwards, we joined up with our future neighbors for a wine walk. For $2 you could purchase a glass and then fill it at several stations at various businesses with snacks, gift items, and live music. We chatted with a cruise consultant who had business cards just like mine when Real Women Wear Red was first released! I introduced myself – told her I wrote novels set on cruise ships, but, darn! I didn’t have any cards with me. I told her I’d get back to her. 🙂
It was an awesome event and to think it was right in the neighborhood! But then we had the long drive back to our apartment. What a downer! But looking on the bright side – what a perfect kickoff to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot!
