Just a quick update about our night at Epcot. Oh my goodness! It was amazing! First, we finally found the “official” back road to Disney – complete with big Minnie & Mickey gate. Because we’d lived over there before, we were taking a slightly different route, but this “offical” route is incredible!
Second, we had dinner for the first time at Cat Cora’s Kouzzina. Rich may write more about the meal/wine pairing, but it was one of the best meals and best servers we’ve had at Disney World – and that’s saying a lot. We loved the atmosphere, the decor, and the awesome smells coming from the exhibition kitchen.
Third, after dinner, we walked over to International Gateway, used our new APs for the first time and began strolling around World Showcase Lagoon counterclockwise. By the time we passed the UK Pavilion, we heard one of my favorite rock songs from the past – “Gimme Some Lovin” and I was a goner. We rocked out with the latest rock group (English Channel / British Revolution) who replaced British Invasion. These guys are awesome! It was so FAB hanging out with other Boomers, rocking to the songs from our youth. In fact, so excited, I’m seriously considering getting back on Facebook just so I can share this fun with my friends.
Besides “Gimme Some Lovin,” other songs that got us on our feet were “Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones and “Crocodile Rock,” which really got Rich movin!
So, here’s a youtube video of Spencer Davis Group – “Gimme Some Lovin”:
