WDW: Day 3

Flying Fish – Originally, we had made an ADR (Advance Dining Reservation at WDW – PS or Priority Seating at Disneyland) at Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but after driving all the way out to Animal Kingdom the day before, we decided once was enough – we wanted to dine closer to our Villa. And after driving around Tampa Bay most of the day, we were glad we changed it to the Flying Fish – one of our favorite restaurants at WDW.

Of course, this was the first time we had dined here after dining at Napa Rose at the Grand Californian at Disneyland so it’s not going to live up to that experience, but, still, the food was delicious and the service very good – but not quite Napa Rose. 🙂

We’ll write a separate post with dining details.

I think the only lowlight today was the cold weather. After dinner, we wandered into the Screen Door General Store and I bought a pink Tink sweatshirt for the next day at the MK, which was supposed to be cool and cloudy – with a chance of rain – and some Tinkerbell socks to wear with my straprunners.

Lessons Learned

If, for some reason, we found ourselves moving to Florida, Tampa would be the place we’d go. But it’s really the first or second runner-up. We discovered we feel much more at home out west in either SoCal or Las Vegas – the next best thing. But Orlando, well, Orlando, was just not right for us and it’s hard to shake the ghost of living there.
