Disneyland Pre-Trip Report, Part 1

You may or may not know that Disneyland still uses the term Priority Seating (PS) instead of the Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) that Disney World now uses. To us, changing the terminology is silly. PS is exactly what it is – priority seating – it is not a reservation. But from what I heard when I was working at WDW, WDW guests are more comfortable with the word “reservation,” even though it still isn’t a reservation. 🙂

But whatever you call it, you gotta have it, so here is our first attempt in determining what we might do when, including when and where to eat:


Saturday:

Breakfast: Home
Lunch: Tortilla Joe’s
Dinner: Redd Rocket’s Pizza Port
Park: DCA early p.m.; Disneyland late p.m.

Sunday:

Breakfast: Blue Ribbon Bakery
Lunch: Rancho del Zocala
Dinner: Vineyard Room
Park: Disneyland a.m.; DCA p.m.

Monday:

Breakfast: Bakers’ Field Bakery
Beach: Newport Beach
Lunch: Blue Water Grill (at the beach)
Dinner: Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
Park: DCA a.m.

Tuesday:

Breakfast: Storyteller’s Café
Drive Home

Note: We used to eat at Blue Bayou on every trip, but now that there are other choices for the same amount of money, we decided to skip it this time. We can’t justify paying over $20 for a Monte Cristo. I say that sitting here but we’ll see what happens when we’re actually there. That’s true for all of our plans, of course.

Also, there isn’t a lot of time to see and do everything on this trip. We’re wondering if we’ve allowed too little time in the parks.
