Who: Rich and Kathy
When: March 13, 2004
Where: Le Cellier

We had heard rave reviews about Le Cellier so we decided to make a special trip to Epcot, with Priority Seating (WDW’s reservation system) at Le Cellier for 1:30 pm. Besides, we needed to have some fun, waiting for our house to be built. We left the Palm Harbor apartment around 10 am on Saturday morning, arriving around 11:30 am. We can’t wait to make the drive from our new home, which should shave off about half an hour.

It was warm out and we were thirsty so we headed over to one of our all-time favorite places—La Cantina de San Angel at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot. Kathy snagged a waterside table by the World Showcase Lagoon as Rich ordered 2 margaritas. We would have ordered the nachos if it hadn’t been so close to our PS at Le Cellier. This is one of life’s special moments. Sipping margaritas together out by the water at this location, just relaxing, holding hands, and savoring the moment. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we decided to linger until it was close to our PS.

The setting for Le Cellier is a wine cellar and it is dark and cool inside. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Here is what we ordered:

Appetizer: Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup – smoked bacon and Moosehead beer (we had a thimble full at the Food & Wine Festival so now we got to have an entire bowl. Awesome!

Beverage: White wine (Kathy); Sweet Tea (Rich)

Main Course: Beef Tenderloin Salad – beef tenderloin tips, mixed greens, asparagus noodles and a tarragon vinaigrette (Kathy); Cast Iron Seared Lake Trout – mixed greens, tomatoes, red onions, bacon with herb vinaigrette (Rich)

Dessert: Maple Creme Brulee (Kathy, Rich); Canadian Ice Wine (Rich)

Entree salads were a popular selection at lunch but we would like to return for dinner sometime and have the steaks that they are quite famous for. After lunch we walked around World Showcase a couple of times, touring gift shops, exhibits, and attractions, trying to walk off our lunch before heading home.
